Park Enhancements
Maintaining parks is a non stop, but vitally necessary community function. Due to rules and regulations put in place for safety these enhancements are often costly. Through donations the Parks Department is able to update our community areas more often and with better and longer lasting equipment.
Senior Programs
Healthy citizens help keep our community thriving. That is why the AJ Park and Recreation Department is committed to hosting programs and events for seniors. These events include the senior meal program, medical transportation reimbursement program plus various activities and wellness events to help ensure that our community members have a variety of choices to stay healthy.
Miscellaneous Program Fund
This fund helps support a variety of programs in our community for those of all ages. These events range from donation events like Pretty in Pink giving for breast cancer, sports tournaments like the annual pickleball tournament and events like April Pool’s Day and the Wellness Event
Special Events
Special events are crucial to the vitality of our community. They invigorate us, get us in touch with the outdoors, meet new people and help show off the pride we have for our city. The main special events include the Easter Egg Hunt, 4th of July, Halloween, Holiday lights and Parade.
