Accomplishments

Friends of Apache Junction continues to support the community and advocate for a high quality of life for residents by securing resources for City departments and local nonprofits. These resources help to maintain and increase essential programs and services.

Below are several of the organizations recent successes.

  1. $3,000 AJHS Football team jerseys.
  2. $940 donation for the Pretty in Pink fundraiser.
  3. $2,300 AJPD protective equipment.
  4. $200 given to the Genesis Project fundraiser for the homeless.
  5. $1,925 for the AJ Parks and recreation holiday event and parade.
  6. $500 donation to support CAAFA in its community improvement efforts.
  7. On-going work with the parks and recreation department to provide transportation for seniors to medical appointments.
  8. $300 donation for the Parks and recreation pickleball tournament.
  9. Providing $500 in funding for community cleanup initiatives.
  10. Donated to the Water for Living Program.
  11. $850 donated to the AJHS Baseball boosters.
  12. Improved Paws and Claws Care Center by funding trainings for staff.
  13. Raised $2,560 in funds for the Apache Junction Police Departments end of year campaign to improve public safety.
  14. Donated to the 100 Club of Arizona.
  15. Provided technical support to three Pinal County law enforcement agencies.
  16. Supported increased marketing for the Paws and Claws Center which helped to increase adoption rates.
  17. $3,000 donated for the AJ Parks and recreation Special events program.
  18. Provided support and funding for projects and upgrades at the Paws and Claws Center totaling over $30,000.
