AJPD: Animal Control
The Animal Control Center provides services to the residents of Apache Junction such as adoptions, licensing, public outreach, education and many other services while providing shelter to cats and dogs that are owner surrendered as well as strays.

Victim Services
AJPD Victim Services provides for auxiliary members who help victims and witnesses with information and resources including transportation, personal assistance and sympathy.

Special Projects
Each year, the AJPD picks a particular need to help serve the community. Our new Special Project Campaign is coming soon. Please check back later for updates!

Santa Toy Drive
Every year the Apache Junction Police Department officers identify needy families throughout the city who may benefit from the annual Christmas Toy Drive. Officers deliver toys and other gifts to less fortunate children in hopes of making their Christmas season a little brighter.

Youth Outreach and Engagement (formerly DARE)
While the DARE program began as a drug prevention initiative, it has expanded over the years to cover a wide range of important topics, including bullying, social media awareness, criminal law, and drug awareness/prevention. This account will also support the annual Youth Academy, a week-long program hosted during school breaks that introduces students to law enforcement and public safety in an engaging, hands-on way. Funding will also be used for additional programs that serve and support youth in our community.
